Bataan folk no longer have to go as far as Pampanga, Manila and Olongapo City to secure clearances and other services from the National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) because it has put up its satellite office in this town.
Lawyer Joel Curameng said in his speech that the NBI will open its office initially every first and third Saturday of the month to accommodate Bataeños who are seeking clearances and other services from them. The project was made upon the initiatives of Rep. Abet Garcia, Second District, and Pizarro. He said the NBI is giving its full support to the opening of its satellite office here, saying that it is giving priority to this project in the "spirit" of their close friendship to Pilar Mayor Charlie Pizarro Garcia, in term as mayor of Balanga City, had also requested for the putting up of NBI annex offices in Bataan, after noting that Bataeños, who have been processing their clearances and other services with the NBI still have to go to as far as Olongapo City, San Fernando City or even Manila. Gov. Enrique "Tet" Garcia has also expressed full support to the NBI project. Pizarro, in his speech, also disclosed that the Department of Foreign Affairs will soon put up its consular annex office in this town to serve Bataeños. |
