Ecotourism Forest in Dinalupihan, Bataan

The Department of Environment and Natural Resources (DENR) Region 3 office through the Protected Area Management Board-Roosevelt Protected Landscape (PAMB-RPLS) and Green Asia Construction and Development Corp have signed an agreement which indicates that the 218-hectare land called Roosevelt Protected Landscape in Roosevelt, Dinalupihan will be industrialized. It will be named Integrated Ecotourism Development. The Private and Public Partnership (PPP) of the government had brought this project. Green Asia Construction and Development Corp is a private investor which coordinated with the municipal government of Dinalupihan to help them provide ecologically aesthetic recreational, educational and tourism- related facilities to their residents. The company president and CEO Renato Legaspi, Sr. will assist Dinalupihan government to bring jobs to the people and added revenue to the municipality. The said project will still comply with RA 7586 or National Integrated Protected Areas Act of 1992. This has beenratified to establish the National Integrated Protected Areas System. An order was prearranged to the police and local authorities here to demolish the relatively 400 shanties and temporary houses.

The PAMB-RPLS and Green Asia jointly agreed to follow the Protected Area of Management of the Roosevelt Protected Landscape. DENR Administrative Order No. 2008-26 states that PAMB shall commend policies, guidelines, plans and programs, proposals and agreements for the management and protected areas. [via]
