The Morong Special Economic Zone which is situated in a 365-hectare land in Morong, Bataan was formerly the notable Philippine Refugee Processing Center (PRPC). The municipal government of Morong had renovated and improved the processing center and named it Bataan Technology Park. For 14 years, about 40,000 Vietnamese and Laotian refugees became residents of BTP. The newly developed park will be added to the tourist lures in the province of Bataan.

There were 11 symbolic tabernacles built inside the park which are being preserved by the immigrants. They made the monuments in resemblance to their culture. They also displayed the old ship in the park’s museum. One of the recently erected symbolic monuments is Blessed John Paul’s Memorial Shrine which can be seen in the Family Chapel of PRPC. The monument is designed with images of refugees' family in a ship.
