More Job Opportunities Await Bataan Town Residents

With the launching of $1.8 billion expansion program of Petron Corporation, residents of Limay, Bataan are expecting more job opportunities that will surely lessen the number of residents unemployed from the town.

According to Mayor Ver Roque, who was invited in the launching of the Phase 2 refinery upgrade of Petron Corporation, golden opportunities await his constituents with the said expansion of Petron Corporation.

At present, the local government of Limay, Bataan, headed by Mayor Roque and Vice Mayor Remigio Tayag, Jr. with their Sangguniang Bayan Members are now exerting efforts to have their constituents employed by the corporation.

They started to persuade them to attend skills training that will help them hired not only locally but as well as internationally since many who work overseas are from the town.

In addition to this, Mayor Roque have passed a resolution asking the multinational firms to give a 70-30 ratio that will give the people of his town a 70% chance to be employed. [via mb.com.ph]
