Sen. Manny Villar visited his hometown in Bataan where he led the events of the Villar Foundation. The yearly gift-giving tradition happened at his family's ancestral house on Rizal Street in Barangay Pacar, Orani. Curita Bamba Villar, senator Villar's mother, known to many as Nanay Curing is a resident of Orani. She was a daughter of a fisherman and a housemaid. Nanay Curing started selling fish in Bataan, which she continued in Divisoria market where the young Manny Villar used to help her.

According to Villar, these are just simple tokens. It is the company and the tradition that they always look forward in every year. The event gives their family the opportunity to talk to the people of Bataan and to its local officials.

Former Las Piñas Rep. Cynthia Villar, Villar's wife, led the distribution of gifts. Villar also unveiled the Curita Villar Plaza at the Bataan Peninsula State University. The open plaza in the university is built in respect to his mother. On behalf, Villar thanked the university officials, teachers and students. Villar's foundations also include a medical mission at the covered court of Orani Municipal Hall where he swore in newly-elected Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) officials. Two feeding sessions were also conducted by Villar Foundation's Kalusugan Caravan at the Hermosa Elementary School and Orani North Elementary School where he led the serving and feeding of nutritious snacks to nearly 1,500 pupils and parents. A series of feeding programs was also given to pupils of Sto. Tomas Pinpin Elementary School and Samal North Elementary School. The Villar Foundation has regular feeding sessions in Metro Manila and other parts of the country.
