Mayor Joet Garcia announced recently that public school teachers can avail of a P5,000 grant plus a loan of P17,300 (i.e. zero interest). This subsidy and loan program will help the teachers to own a laptop computer. The city government's goal is to help teachers to improve and upgrade their teaching methods by means of having access to modernize and techie tools that will facilitate their audio-visual presentations.As an IT expert, Mayor Garcia said that there should be no limit to teachers' access to knowledge that will allow them to impart relevant and modern information to their students.
This program will persuade many teachers to use IT gadgets to help the City of Balanga attain its vision of absolute computer literacy among its students. [via mb.com.ph] |
