Gov. Enrique Tet Garcia led the Bataeños during the celebration of 68th Araw ng Kagitingan at the new Bulwagan Hall. The people of Bataan cited the Gabon Consul for Bataan's Economic Development.In the opening ceremony, the billionaire, Mr. Eddie de Guzman or Don Eddie as fondly called by friends and relatives was the guest of honor and resource speaker. He was known as a very successful businessman who contributed a lot in the economic development of Bataan. He numerous business establishments (such as the franchise of popular fast-food outlets in Dinalupihan, Orani, Balanga City, and Mariveles, ICMC hospital) not only in our province but also in other parts of the country which includes Metro Manila and Baguio City, he was cited for giving job opportunities to the Bataeños. Mr. De Guzman was also the present Consul to Gabon. He had participated in the economic development, he had granted scholarships to poor Bataeños, and provided health care and education. He had also helped different local action programs in Bataan. These are the humble deeds of Mr. De Guzmam. That is why Mayor Joet Garcia and Rep. Abet Garcia cited him in his major role and contribution to the province. Don Eddie will be set up another fast-food outlet in Orion because of the request of Mayor Tony Pep Raymundo. De Guzman's speech emphasized to about thousand of listeners at the new Bulwagan building that faith in God, honesty, and helpfulnesswere his secrets of his success.
