The town started the celebration since February 8 and will run until February 28.

The celebration highlighted with different activities like sports programs, Battle of the Bands, bikers show, a grand civic and military parade, cultural dances, singing contest, and the selection of Mutya ng Mariveles.

The town is considered as one of the most historic places in the country when it as flattened and reduced to ashes by the fury of World War II.

From ashes the historic place of Mariveles will be making another history as the Bataan Economic Zone be converted to Special Economic Zone and Freeport, called Freeport Authority of Bataan (FAB).

FAB was principally authored by Bataan Rep. Abet S. Garcia who, like his father Bataan Gov. Tet Garcia, is deeply concerned about the economic development of this town.

With the FAB, Mariveles will soon rise again and ready to be skilled for its people development as well as the town itself. [via mb.com.ph]
