Petron assures Bataan officials |

In City of Balanga, Bataan, top executive of PBR (Petron Bataan Refinery) assured provincial officials that the management of PBR is doing its best to put the plant’s facilities in order to ensure protection of the people of Bataan. Jimmy Santos, administrative manager of PBR said that personnel are rushing the repair of the facility to protect more the people leaving near the refinery. The repair of the said facility is due to the foul odor which is reportedly caused by oil sludge that is being softened before it is hauled off by liquid tanker.  Petron Bataan satellite view. The refinery officials assured the provincial government that they are monitoring the smoke emissions from their plant even as he assured that the foul odor causes no health hazards to the people. Adaptation of preventive measures were also assured to prevent the emission of the foul odor. [via] |
