Bird watching is more expensive than beach holidays and one sector, the Philippine Tour Operators Association, believes it will be one of the most profitable tour packages here.According to Tourism Secretary Ace Durano, they will offer bird watching packages for $300 to $350 a day, excluding accommodation that will appeal to foreign tourists with high spending capacity. He said that the department would start promoting bird-watching tours in France, Russia and the United Kingdom beginning September, adding the number of bird watchers in the UK alone ran in the millions.
