Evaluating the performance of pupils is an important part of teaching - learning process, that's why all teachers must be Knowledgeable and must be competent in evaluating his individual learners. It's primary objective is to improve the performance of each learner thus the teacher needs to carefully analyze the result of evaluation and it must be his basis in choosing the right teaching method in his lessons. To make evaluation process effective, a teacher must understand the effective use of reliable and valid instruments of evaluating the outcome of learning and diagnosing learning difficulties of each pupil s well. This means that every teacher considers the facts and concepts concerning the measurement and evaluation of Student Performance. If a teacher fails in evaluating and measuring the performance of her pupils, she fails in helping her learner to perform well in her class. By Mrs. Imelda M.
