Strengthening the foundation of the youth by giving emphasis on child development is part of the quality education program of my administration to achieve a progressive and highly educated community, this was one of the project of the mayor of Balanga City, Mayor Jose Enrique Garcia III. And this was proven when a newly upgraded primary school in Balanga City, Bataan tops the national Achievement Test (NAT) given to elementary students nationwide last March. Based on the most recent NAT results, City of Balanga ranked number one with 84.16% followed by Southern Leyte with 81.23% and Ormoc City with 890.91%. The examination as started way back in 1997, determines the achievement level of grade six pupils in the academic subjects, English, Mathematics, Science, Filipino and Heograpiya, Kultura at Sibika (HKS). G.L. David Elementary School in upper Tuyo proves that great things start from small beginnings. Although the school is located for about 5 kilometers from the city proper, still it serve as an inspiration and challenge for the students to top and give record for their province. |
