An e-Governance covenant was signed last week at the Subic Exhibition and Convention Center in Subic Freeport Zambales. The said project was funded by Canadian International Development Agency and flagship program of the League of Municipalities of the Philippines, Mayors Development Center, the CESO, National Computer and the Commission on Information and Communications Technology.
Three municipalities are included from Pangsinan, two in Nueva Ecija, two in Tarlac, six in Pampanga, four in Zambales, two in Bataan, one in Rizal, four in Cavite and seven in Quezon. These municipalities conformed to advocate the activities of eGov4MD Inc., a non- profit association of municipal staff engaged in the e-governance project. Starting with the project Robert Sagun of Canadian Service Organization (CESO) Philippine Branch said that an agreement regarding an electronic real property tax system in the different municipalities in the given provinces will be signed next month.
