Mountain Bike Circuit Race
3rd Padyakan Sa Bataan 2008
Karagatan, Bayview Peaks, Mariveles
7:00 AM - 5:00 PM

In celebration of the Araw ng Kagitingan, sports enthusiasts from Bataan, Manila and nearby provinces are invited to join the 5-km mountain bike circuit race at the town of Mariveles. Trophies, Cash and Gift prizes await the winners of this race.

Retracing Of Death March Route
Zero Km. Marker, Mariveles and Bagac to Km.68, Dinalupihan
6:00 AM – 11:30 AM

A caravan relay that will be participated in by the youth, veterans, sons and daughters of veterans and local officials will pass by along the route of the infamous Death March. This will begin at the two (2) starting points of the Death March and will end at Layac, Dinalupihan. From here, the Bataan caravan participants will be joined by the group from Pampanga until it reaches Capas, Tarlac.

Trade Fair
Bulwagan ng Bayan Grounds, Capitol Compound, Balanga City

A 5-day trade fair which is open to the public will showcase the best products of the province and will allow local producers to market their products. Cultural performances and raffle prizes also await shoppers on this weeklong event. To formally open the Trade Fair and be the special Guest of Honor is Congresswoman Cynthia Villar.
 
Unveiling Of WWII Diorama
Capitol Oval, Capitol Compound, Balanga City

The whole month of April will display scenes that transpired during the war era which will be depicted through life size diorama. To formally unveil the dioramas is Hon. Cynthia Villar.

3rd Seafood Festival
Kamayan Seafood Festival
Bulwagan ng Bayan Grounds, Capitol Compound

A bazaar of the different cuisines using available seafoods in the province as main ingredient, the festival will be spearheaded by the Bataan Hotel and Resort Owners Association. It will feature the finest alimango, sugpo, talaba and tahong that are now abundant in the peninsula.
 
Dinner Concert with the Philippine Madrigal Singers
Madz in Bataan
Capitol Grounds, Balanga City

A musical spectacle dedicated to the Bataeños will feature the internationally renowned Philippine Madrigal Singers. This will serve as part of the kick-off activities of the Bataan Day Celebration.

Folk Dance Exhibition

The Senior Citizens of Bataan will display their grace and talents as participants from each municipality will perform folk dance exhibition in celebration of Bataan Day.
 
History Quiz
Tagisan Diwang Bataan
Bataan People’s Center, Capitol Compound, Balanga City

This is a province wide quiz open to all 1st year high schools on the history, culture and geography of Bataan. An estimated number of thirty-five students from the different private and public high schools in the province are expected to compete in the finals of the history quiz.
 
Speech Choir Competition
Sabayang Pagbigkas
Bataan People's Center, Capitol Compound, Balanga City
3:00 PM

A province wide speech choir competition will be open to elementary students of both public and private schools. This aims to instill patriotism to our youth and inculcate to them the importance that the province played during the war.

66th Bataan Day Celebration
Mt. Samat, Diwa, Pilar
7:00 AM

This is an annual event that commemorates the bravery and heroism of Filipino soldiers who offered their lives for the freedom of the country. President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo together with other dignitaries, war veterans and officials of the province lead the celebration of the “Araw ng Kagitingan” at the Shrine of Valor in Mt. Samat.
 
Parade Of Floats
Parada ng Kagitingan
Alas-Asin,Mariveles to Capitol Compound, Balanga City, Dinalupihan Town Plaza to Capitol Compound, Balanga City

A Parade of Floats depicting the heroism of the Filipino soldiers during the war will be highlighted on this event. It will be participated in by the city and municipal tourism councils, schools and non-government organizations of the province.
 
Foot Parade
Balanga Elem. School to Capitol Compound
4:00 PM

Various sectors of the society will participate in this foot parade along with the boy scouts and nurses who played an important role during World War II. Along with the Parade of Floats, this civic parade will end at the Capitol Grounds, as all participants give tribute to the WW II veterans of Bataan.

The entire province will pay tribute and honor the sacrifices and heroism of the provinces’ veterans of World War II.
