Tubig Talino project is the provision of iodine-enriched drinking water to children in order to enhance their intelligence and mental development. And Bataan will be the fourth area in the country and the first in Central Luzon to have the Tubig Talino project.The provincial health office (PHO) had already sent and official letter to the Food and Nutrition Research Institute (FNRI) to provide necessary technology for the project to be launched in Bataan. They already have distilled water refilling station put up intentionally for dialysis patients, but could also be used for the said project. PHO will also coordinate with the Department of Education for the marketing side of the iodine-enriched water, once the FNRI grants the appeal for technology transfer.
