Friday, 09 June 2006
A production of biodiesel sourced from the jathropa plant, or locally known as tuba-tuba will be invested by a Japanese firm Shomar International Trading Corp. for a P10B budget.
The Japanese firm Shomar International Trading Corp. will invest P10 billion for the production of biodiesel sourced from the jathropa plant, locally known as tuba-tuba, or tangan-tangan, Mayor Efren Cruz Jr. said Friday.

Japanese specialists study the site of Hermosa and find it very near at the seaport of Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority. The company needs about 75,000 hectares for the plantation of tuba-tuba where oil will be extracted from its seeds and can be productive from two to five years. It will surely generate employment and extra income to the town and province of Bataan.
