Most of the parents thought that teaching and making their children learn is the sole responsibility of the teachers. I also observed that after class hours, there were no follow ups of lessons learned in school at home. Parents leave the task of teaching in the hands of teachers. That's why, some pupils got low performance ratings in their classes and worst , some of them remain non-readers. |

According to Lt. Geronimo B. Tuvilla, station (Bataan and Corregidor Island) commander of Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), about 11,000 tourists both foreign and local had visited the historic Corregidor Island using this small but strategic port located in Mariveles, Bataan. Tuvilla explained that tourists prefer to take the launching pad in Mariveles because this is the bordering port going to Corregidor Island. |

One of the issues being argued upon by the government and the church nowsaday, is sex education. The government says that students should be educated about sex in schools. The church says, educating about sex should be left to the parents.

A new investor from Korean property developer M Castle Philippines Ltd. gave $1-billion boost up to the Foreign Direct Investments at the Subic Bay Freeport for the 615-hectare property in Morong, Bataan which will be called Resom Resort City, Subic. Last January, the Korean firm guarantee a $350,000 investment which resulted to the registration of its business at the Freeport. |

To reach the youth through technology, Catholic Church has launched a catechism video game that would provide lessons of Christianity for the youth. Fr. Maximo Villanueva Jr. of the Diocese of Balanga, Bataan developed a three-dimensional game called Paolo's Journey based on Pope Benedict XVI's Compendium of the Catechism of the Catholic Church. |
