The beginning of the school day every school year is a very challenging task to the teachers. To help in serious attempts of the Philippine government to move away from fossil fuels such as oil and coal for a big part of its energy requirements, rehabilitating the mothballed Bataan nuclear power plant is one of the choices being seriously considered.

By February 2008, the International Atomic Energy Agency came to see the Bataan nuclear power plant and permitted the Philippine government to go ahead with rehabilitation. To satisfy increasing demand for power, the Philippine government may invite investors to rehabilitate the Bataan nuclear power plant at a price of around $800 million.

The Battle of Bataan perceived the Filipino forces side by side with American allies entering in war against the Japanese invaders. The infamous Death March took place after the Fall of Bataan, the last province who gave up to the Japanese invaders.
