Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority (SBMA) is offering a Korean company that wants to build a hotel and casino here. David Maund, a liquidator appointed by a Hong Kong court in 2006 to bring back Legend International Resorts Ltd. (LIRL) to profitability, told the Philippine Daily Inquirer in a phone interview from Hong Kong last week that the SBMA suddenly changed its approach in dealing with LIRL. |

As Diosdado Macapagal International Airport (DMIA) recently registered a 35 percent increase on monthly arrivals, Central Luzon Tourism Regional Director Ronaldo Tiotuico projected a tourism boom in the region. SCTEX is the country's longest expressway, built to interconnect three major economic and industrial zones in Central Luzon and spur economic activities in the region. Tourism is among the first industries that gained momentum from the existence of the 94-kilometer stretch.  |

Recetly, ALI (Ayala Land Inc.) has launched the Second Phase of Anvaya Cove in Morong, Bataan. Ayala Land Premier, which caters to the high-end segment of the property sector, is offering 36 lots that give buyers the choice of either opting for a sea view or a mountain view in Anvaya Cove. The second phase, which covers six hectares of the 320-hectare development, will allow buyers to choose a lot with a minimum size of 650 square meters to 1,000 square meters. |

In City of Balanga, Bataan, top executive of PBR (Petron Bataan Refinery) assured provincial officials that the management of PBR is doing its best to put the plant’s facilities in order to ensure protection of the people of Bataan. Jimmy Santos, administrative manager of PBR said that personnel are rushing the repair of the facility to protect more the people leaving near the refinery. |
