A new Department of Public Works and Highways (DPWH) office building for the first district of Bataan equal in value to Php30 million will be constructed in a lot with an area of 13-hectare in Barangay Mulawin in Orani, Bataan. The DPWH will construct the new office building to take along the products of development to the rural area and to accelerate the infrastructure plans of action in the Bataan's first district. |

Being in a dying state, the kapis shell industry of Bataan is revived from apparent death to get back to its former reputation as foremost dollar-earning industry in the province. The industry was in a dying state for several years because of pollution in Manila Bay as well as the prevalent collection of gasang, small shells that are srved as foods to prawn, where young kapis are indiscriminately collected. |

In 2006, a total of 544 hectares of alienable and disposable lands in Bataan were divided by the Provincial Environment and Natural Resources Office (PENRO) by means of an official documents granting rights to 716 legitimate beneficiaries who were working by plowing, sowing, and raising crops from the lands for years. In 2007, greater than 700 hectares of alienable and disposable lands in Bataan have in addition been apportioned by the PENRO by way of the right granted by patents to 626 cultivators. |

The two mountain ranges with greater importance in Bataan are the Mount Natib complex and the Mariveles Mountain. These two major mountain ranges has a total land area of 111,072 hectares out of 137,296 hectares, the total land area of the entire Bataan. That is 80.9 percent. Mount Natib complex starts from Dinalupihan and end in Balanga City. Mount Natib complex is made up of Mount Santa Rita (485 m.) and Mount Santa Rosa (800 m.) on the east, Mount Silangan (910 m.) on the south.

The license to reach the state of being one of the Philippine retail electricity suppliers has been given to GN Power Mariveles Coal Plant Ltd. Co. (GMCP) by the Energy Regulatory Commission (ERC). Others that have been given licenses to operate were GNPower, Trans-Asia Oil and Energy Development Corp. and Aboitiz Energy Solutions Inc. |
