After attending a planning workshop, Battle Plan to Feed Mega Manila, directed by the Agribusiness Marketing Assistance section of the Department of Agriculture in Region 3, provincial agriculturist Imelda Inieto found out the requirement of Mega Manila for vegetables, pork and chicken meat. She soon after that told the problem to bataan Governor Tet garcia, who made a decision to encourage greater farmers to move into vegetable, broiler and hog production. |

One hundred eight home lots, each with an area of 65 to 71 square meters, out of a total 1,034 recovered tracts of land in Barangay Pantalan Luma were made known to the public by the municipal government of Orani to be given as a reward any time this February 2008 to the first batch of 108 family-beneficiaries. Under the local government's Lupang Panlingap sa Mahihirap, a family-beneficiary is imposed a monetary charge more or less P6,920 per lot that may be paid in installments. |

The 19th annual Bataan Memorial Death March begins at White Sands Missile Range, New Mexico on March 30. This march is directed in reputation of the courageous defenders of the Philippine Islands throughout the duration of the Second World War. Greater than 4,000 marchers are expected to join the difficult journey along hot, open desert of White Sands, with attitudes of up to 5,300 feet on trails and washes. |

A petrochemical feedstock facilities of the Philippine oil refinery Petron Corp were recently set up for use and will begin performing their functions in February 2008. The facilities are portion of Petron's US$300 million project to make greater the ratio pf the useful energy delivered by a machine to the energy supplied to it. It is the Petron's 180,000 barrel per day refinery in Bataan. |

A team from the United Nation's International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will direct a general survey of the 620 megawatt Bataan Nuclear Power Plant (BNPP) located 70 kilometers west of Manila to assist the Philippines in making a choice if it is better to engage in nuclear power generation. IAEA was formed to help in transfer of technology and counsel countries in view of nuclear power generation, and to discover whether a country is breaking any safety or environmental standards connected to nuclear generation. |
