Bataan towns benefit from taxes collected by SBMA

Three towns in Bataan get annual share in tax revenues from multinational firms at the Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority, Chairman Feliciano Salonga disclosed over the weekend.

Hermosa and Morong in Bataan equally get 1 percent of the 5-percent share the SBMA receives from tax collections. Subic in Zambales and Olongapo City also get a slice of the 1-percent share.
 
42 cooperatives rise to rank of millionaires

Finally, 42 registered cooperatives in Bataan are included on the list of millionaire-cooperatives in the country, the Cooperative Development Authority provincial office reported Wednesday.

The 42, considered the most successful of the 145 active cooperatives in Bataan, have surpassed the one-million-peso mark with many in double-digit-million pesos in assets, according to Editha Capili, provincial co-op development specialist.

 
Ayala Land to focus on residential projects

AYALA Land Inc. (ALI), the Philippines’ leading property firm, plans this year to focus its capital spending on its residential units Avida Land Corp, Ayala Land Premiere, Anvaya Cove and Community Innovations Inc.

The company set a P16-billion spending program, with the bulk going to these residential units...

 
Self Employment Assistance - Kaunlaran (SEA-K)

SEA-K which is funded by the DSWD Field Office III, San Fernando Pampanga awarded Php 5,000 to the 30 indigent families of Orion last Feb 7, 2006.

The SEA-K is a program to provide support for self-sustained socio-economic capability-building efforts enabling their members and eventually other residents of their communities to gain access to self-managed community-based services.

 
Iron-fortified rice now sold in Bataan

The National Food Authority provincial office here has started distributing iron-fortified rice to its accredited outlets in 11 towns and one city in Bataan.

Adelaida Nuestro, NFA provincial manager, said they have 5,500 bags of iron-fortified rice in their warehouses in Balanga City and Dinalupihan where their retailers can get the grains.
