Some Filipinos who want to work abroad can't get hired immediately because they can't afford the cost of overseas recruitment – processing, placement, and other agency fees, even the fare to get to the agency.
And to answer some of these problems, International Skill Development, Inc. (ISD) has launched the program "Jobs-on-Wheels," a first in the recruitment industry. With the said program, applicants authorized by Public Employment Services Office (PESO) will bring overseas job orders closer to applicants in Luzon. |

To encourage tricycle drivers and operators in the city of Balanga, Bataan, the city government, headed by City Mayor Jose Enrique Garcia III is preparing a package of incentives to the first 200 tricycle drivers and operators who are interested to convert their units from gasoline to liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) fuel. The city government allocated P5,000 each as financial assistance for the first 200 tricycle units with the expected cost of conversion including installation of safety gadgets which runs to P13,000 per unit.
Three thousand members of Balanga City Federation of Tricycle Operators and Drivers Association Inc. plying Balanga City and adjacent Pilar town have signified their intentions to join in the conversion campaign with the continuous increases in price of fossil fuels in the world market. |

With the creation of the Bataan Free Port Area (FAB), provincial government officials would like to rebirth Mariveles as a highly industrialized territory. Bataan 2nd District Rep. Albert Garcia authored the Republic Act 9728, also known as the FAB law which about to convert Bataan Economic Zone (BEZ) into FAB. Local official of Mariveles, leaded by Mayor Jesse Concepcion, agrees with FAB as envisioned by Garcia since, the project will attract many multinational companies and elevate the town as a bustling industrial center again. |

To save companies transport costs and to provide more efficient means of delivering goods between Clark and Subic, Subic-based International Heavy Trucks Center (IHTC) is bringing in the road train, or triples, a trucking system used in Argentina, Australia, Mexico, the United States and Canada to economically move cargo along the Subic-Clark-Tarlac Expressway (SCTEx) by the yearend. |

Bataeños are continually learning on the significance of mangrove reforestation in the environment that sooner or later encourages them to forcefully join in the greening of Bataan coastal areas. Auditor and Coordinator of Sagip Lingap Yamang Dagat (Salba), Susan Capuli said that their officers are frequently visiting coastal barangays here to teach villagers on mangrove reforestation.
Information campaigns are also being conducted in some of their coastal villages like in Limay town. A group of small fisherfolks, assisted by Salba, has a mangrove-reforestation project in this town. Areas of Orani, Orion and Limay, now operates mangrove nurseries as part of the mangrove reforestation campaign. |
