Ayala Mall Subic

With the P3-billion mall project of Ayala Corp., more tourists are expected visit Subic Bay in the next three years.

After the completion of the Subic-Clark expressway, SBMA (Subic Bay Metropolitan Authority) is upgrading the former site of the US Naval base as a world-class water sports destination and a convention center.


In an interview, Armand C. Arreza of SBMA said that people will now have the chance to enjoy the same water sports attraction without traveling as far as Camarines Sur.

 
Fish Sanctuary Set Up in Limay

In cooperation with Limay municipal government and Petron's Bataan Refinery, Panguluhan ng mga Maliliit na Mangingisda ng Limay (Pangmamali) set up a fish sanctuary measuring 7.5 hectares at the waters off Barangay Wawa in the town.

Municipal Agricultural Officer Joselito Galicia said that Pangmamali is an alliance of fisher folk groups in all the coastal villages of Limay.

The said fish sanctuary was finally installed with 25 modules of artificial reefs (concrete units) and another 35 modules (bamboo) from the Limay municipal government.

 
Community Vegetable Farming Now in the City of Balanga

Vegetable agriculture, which stared in December 2007, was an accomplishment since the community of Cataning, Balanga City puts it into practice. According to Barangay chairman Benjie Meriño, more than 100 families are benefited by the city’s Kasama Ani sa Barangay (Kaanib) program. The people in the village of Cataning are helping to do the vegetable growing in sitios Miray (1,000 sq. m) and Ugong (900 sq. m).

 
A New Home for Giant Clams

Anvaya Cove, which is one of Ayala Land's premier residential communities in Morong, Bataan, now opens its door for the biggest clams with an optimism of preserving this highly threatened species for the next generation.

The clam-seeding event was the maiden project of Anvaya Environmental Foundation Inc. The said project aims to save the Tridacna gigas, or giant clams, right within Anvaya's shores.
